If your purpose of coming to
Thailand is as a tourist, you can apply for a 90- Day Thai Visa or a 1-Year
Non-immigrant Visa.
This means you will be granted
one visa for one entry (single entry visa). This type of visa will allow you
90-day duration of stay from date of arrival to Thailand.
It will give you multiple entries
to Thailand. From the date of arrival to Thailand, you can stay for a period of
90 days per entry. You can go to the nearest border (about 4 hours away from
Bangkok) so you can renew your stay for another 90 days in Thailand. There
would be a period of validity of this type of visa would be one calendar year.
Please note that you can apply for a one year extension of stay in Thailand,
however granting of the extension would be the discretion of the Thai
Immigration bureau upon submission of required documents.
